LaserLipo at a Glance

Melt Stubborn Fat and Refine Your Shape

LaserLipo is a minimally invasive body-contouring treatment that uses laser energy to heat and disrupt the stubborn fat cells beneath your skin’s surface. A very small laser fiber delivers energy directly into the chosen treatment area, helping liquefy fat so it can be removed through a cannula while the controlled heat can also encourage skin contraction.

LaserLipo Treatment Areas:

  • Abdomen
  • Flanks and love handles
  • Waist
  • Upper and lower back
  • Bra area
  • Upper arms

Deep Dive Into LaserLipo

How Does LaserLipo Work?

LaserLipo works by passing a very thin laser fiber beneath your skin. The fiber delivers controlled thermal energy directly into the fatty layer, disrupting fat-cell membranes and liquefying the targeted fat, allowing it to be removed with a small cannula. That same heat interacts with the collagen-rich connective tissue, causing some immediate contraction while triggering a longer-term remodeling response. As swelling resolves and the tissue heals, the treated area looks slimmer, smoother, and more defined.

When Will I See My LaserLipo Results?

You may notice an initial change as swelling subsides, but don’t judge your results too early. Your contours typically become clearer over the following weeks, with further improvement possible over several months as swelling resolves and heat-treated tissue remodels.

What Is Recovery Like After LaserLipo?

You can expect some swelling, bruising, soreness, and tenderness. The area may also feel firm, numb, or sensitive. Because LaserLipo uses small access points rather than larger surgical incisions, recovery is generally manageable, although it’s still a minimally invasive procedure that requires proper aftercare.

FAQs

No. LaserLipo is meant for localized fat reduction and contouring, not significant weight loss. You may be a good candidate when you’re near a relatively stable weight but have stubborn pockets of fat that don’t respond the way you’d like to diet and exercise.

Fat cells removed from the treated area are gone. However, the remaining fat cells can still enlarge if you gain weight. Keeping your weight stable helps maintain your contours.

The heat generated during treatment can cause collagen-rich tissue to contract and initiate remodeling, which may provide some improvement in firmness. However, LaserLipo isn’t a substitute for removing significant excess skin. If skin laxity is a major concern, another technology may be more appropriate.
